About Dr. Yang

Dr. Yang received his MD degree from the University of British Columbia after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Biophysics at UBC. He trained in Internal Medicine at Queen’s University followed by a Respirology Fellowship at McMaster University. He then completed a 1 year fellowship in Sleep Medicine at McMaster.

After graduation, he moved to Victoria, BC where he set up a busy Respirology and Sleep Medicine practice including seeing clinic patients and providing respiratory care at Royal Jubilee Hospital and for the Vancouver Island Health Authority.

He has now moved to the Greater Napanee/Kingston area where he is excited to bring his medical expertise to the community. His interests include general respirology (e.g. COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and lung infections) as well as sleep disorders (e.g. sleep apnea, insomnia, sleepwalking etc.)

Dr. Yang also works in sleep clinics in Kingston (MedSleep and Kingston Health Sciences Centre) and provides inpatient care at Kingston General Hosptial and Lennox Addington County General Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor at Queen’s University and Clinical Instructor at UBC.

In his spare time, Dr. Yang enjoys camping trips and traveling.
